Separation
Separation is when a married couple decides to live
apart despite their being married. However, Florida does not
recognize a "legal separation." Therefore, even though the parties are not
living together, they are still married and must file a dissolution of marriage
to terminate any rights which they may have against each other's assets
acquired during the marriage.
